Hand Embroidery on a Tailored Kameez

There always lies a mix and match set that we picked up for numerous reasons or no specific reason at all. There always are plenty options to jazz it up.That could be a challenge tooooo...When our conscious thinking sketches a look for the set that is just lying for years together, OOOPS!comes the real big challenge.

Suddenly the garment disappears and wakes our mind about whom we lent it to?,is it with d dry cleaners?,Unwashed and found in the laundry pile?,after all that is sorted out..for that desi look we just remember we dint have an apt footwear.

A flamboyant prospective look that we decided to drape ourselves in, gulps out a solid 30 mins of our precious time. Did we get to wear what we initially thought..No way! Anyone who could relate to this could get an idea here..

Following comes as an option to forget the mix and match and make it as a SKD (Salwar, Kameez, Duppata) set.

PRIORITY:
Find out that one mix and match set of Salwar, Kameez from your wardrobe that u want to make it as a 3 piece set.

What could be done?
  • Pick a contrast fabric to tailor a top.
  • Either decide on cutting a little fabric to patch on the Kameez or if the Salwar is extra large for the required size, might as well trim those.
  • Trimming could be left to the tailor after a wise discussion for accumulating extra fabric for the patch.
  • Choose a style to sew the Kameez.
That one simple DIY!
Now that the major job is done by the tailor,a simple task is left to us. Tweak the designer in oneself!Look deeper into the prints on the garments. Picking up a design which just needs one outline using the acrylic paint and an embroidery stitch, is the smartest option to finish the project fast.Although it can always be an added embellishment if filling the designs with stitches are done.

Mosaic design fish

For those who aren't very familiar with the freehand and other techniques in ceramic painting this  mosaic inspired fish design comes in with out a challenge. All we need majorly is a tile of your choice that is available.Choose any light color to make it more attractive and it leaves us with more imagination in the choice of colors. This art work could be framed, plastered onto a rough wall like a collage work and most importantly leaves us with a choice of fixing it anywhere without a necessity of safeguarding it much like a glass although this too is a object that could brittle. Materials: Ceramic Paint kit Brushes- Flat brush can be avoided at a beginner level.
